Darlow Christ Architects collaborated with the Swiss architectural firm, Convergo, and general contractor, Lee Kennedy, to design and construct an addition for the Government of Switzerland to their Cambridge consulate building. The additional space requirements for the consular staff are met by the placement of a glass pavilion, set within a green roof garden, which rests lightly above the existing masonry consulate structure. The crisply detailed addition serves as an apt metaphor for the Swissnex mission to generate cooperation in an innovative, inspiring and rewarding atmosphere.
